Mr. Mills came back with a vengeance on "Championships". After finally getting released from jail due to a bogus probation violation (for riding a 4-Wheeler during a video shoot), 2018 saw Meek become a proponent for prison reform, making amends with friends turned rivals (Drake), and rising as a true champion. The album is full of motivation and energy, from the title track even to the soulful "Oodles o' Noodles Babies," one of my favs off the album. Meek sounds refreshed and re-energized, rapping at a rapid-fire pace, with punchlines in tow. "Championships" is sure to be one of Meek's best albums, and is definitely worth a listen. Give it a spin below.
