Just in time for the release of Avengers: Endgame, Fortnite has released an update that lets players use various weapons owned by the Avengers themselves (Thor's Axe, Captain America's shield, Iron Man's repulsors - the hand blasty things, etc.) and collect the Infinity Stones found throughout the map. Whoever finds a stone first gets to play as Thanos, a nice return from when the game added him as a surprise update a while back. However, you have to be on the villain team to play as Thanos, which the game automatically assigns you either to the Hero or Villain team. Bummer, guess you can't have too many people trying to be bad guys at once.
For anyone unfamiliar with Fortnite, it's a free game that allows people to play with friends and strangers from around the world. To me it's like Minecraft meets Call of Duty, combining building elements in addition to some first-person shooter action. My nephews got me into the game, and after a bit of a learning curve (the building part for me, I wanted to shoot stuff), I was able to get in the fray and have some fun. Its great to kill some time and allows for some customization using V-bucks, which My nephews send CashApp requests all the time for, lol.
