I Am > I Was

Young Savage, why you trappin' so hard...? 21 Savage returns with his new album, "I Am > I Was." The title signifies growth, what Savage has shown these past couple years both publicly and behind the scenes. Contributing to education programs, community drives involving food, school, and more, 21 is maturing before our eyes. Not crowded with features but just enough to satiate, Childish Gambino makes an appearance on "Monsters," Travis Scott on "Out For The Night Pt. 2" and Atlanta's current reigning duo, Gunna and Lil' Baby on "Can't Leave Without It." "A&T" is a throwback to Three Six Mafia's "Ass and Titties," with 3-6 Alum Project Pat showing up on "Good Day". J. Cole pops up on "a lot," the album's first track, with him and 21 backed by an old school soul sample so sweet. In all, "I Am > I Was" is a solid project by East Atlanta's own 21 Savage.
